This year, we wel­come all hik­ing enthu­si­asts to the new­ly opened HEX Adven­ture World in Rotheshütte. Among oth­er things, you can look for­ward to vot­ing for the “Most Beau­ti­ful Stamp Sta­tion,” a raf­fle for a “Kaisere­iche,” and spe­cial stamps. We’ll be there with our booth from 10:00 a.m. until around 3:00 p.m. We look for­ward to see­ing you there.

The “Kaiser-Otto-Höhen­weg” stamp loca­tion for the “20th Anniver­sary” com­pan­ion book­let has been moved. The stamp box is now locat­ed at the hik­ing cab­in north of Wall­hausen. Coor­di­nates: 32 U 652425 5705080 51.47632°N 11.19491°E

The trav­el­ing stamp box reached its third stop of the 2026–27 sea­son on August 16, 2026. Johann Georg von Lan­gen (1699–1776) rev­o­lu­tion­ized sil­vi­cul­ture by estab­lish­ing sys­tem­at­ic plant­i­ngs. He plant­ed conifers (spruce, fir, larch) as well as maple trees. Sus­tain­able forestry began with him. As part of a school project in 2004, sil­ver firs were plant­ed, with pota­toes grow­ing between the rows of trees. Just as in 1748, when von Lan­gen intro­duced for­est-field cul­ti­va­tion in Braun­lage, the pota­toes served for the first time to feed the local pop­u­la­tion. From June 5 to 7, 2026, the 24th Sax­ony-Anhalt Day will take place for the sec­ond time in Bern­burg (Saale) under the mot­to “Where Sax­ony-Anhalt meets”. Over three days, the fed­er­al state will be show­cased in all its facets in the city on the Saale: from cul­ture and his­to­ry to sport, vol­un­teer­ing and region­al cui­sine.  More than 11 themed streets with their own pro­gram points and attrac­tions invite you to dis­cov­er them this week­end. The dis­tricts and inde­pen­dent cities also present them­selves in five sep­a­rate region­al vil­lages: Elbe-Börde-Hei­de, Anhalt-Wit­ten­berg-Bit­ter­feld, Harz-Harzvor­­land, Halle-Saale-Unstrut…

The trav­el­ing stamp box reached its first sta­tion of the 2026/27 sea­son on 16.04.26. Han­na and Luke from the Brock­en­bande explain how a dam can sup­ply peo­ple with drink­ing water and pro­tect them from flood­ing on the new “Water” cli­mate trail. This leads you on a cir­cu­lar hik­ing trail around the basin of the pre-dam past five excit­ing infor­ma­tion points. The start­ing point for the nature trail is the Söse­talsperre park­ing lot at the dam, which is locat­ed in the direc­tion of the Riefen­s­beek-Kam­schlack­­en dis­trict of Osterode. On Sun­day, April 26, 2026, the start of a very spe­cial hik­ing sea­son will be cel­e­brat­ed around Plessen­burg Cas­tle in the Harz Moun­tains — because this year we are cel­e­brat­ing our 20th anniver­sary. From 11:00 a.m., a var­ied musi­cal stage pro­gram awaits you in the midst of the idyl­lic Harz land­scape with numer­ous stands from our long-stand­ing part­ners.
