We follow the guidelines of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1/2.2 at conformity level AA as well as the applicable national requirements (such as the BFSG or the BITV 2.0).

3. status of compatibility

This website is partially compliant with the above requirements due to the following incompatibilities and exceptions. We are continuously working to correct existing deficiencies.

4. non-accessible content

Despite our efforts, the following areas have not yet been completely barrier-free:

  • PDF documents: Some older PDF downloads are not optimized for screen readers.
  • Third-party content: Embedded maps (e.g. Google Maps) or social media widgets are sometimes beyond our technical control in terms of keyboard operability.
  • Missing alt texts: Images in the media library to which no descriptive alternative texts have been assigned, leaving screen reader users with no information about the image content.
  • Illogical heading hierarchy: It can happen that headings are selected based on the size of the display and not on the hierarchy.
