Extension of the special exhibition “20 Years of the Harz Hiking Pin” at the Harz Museum in Wernigerode through October 4, 2026

The cur­rent spe­cial exhi­bi­tion at the Harz Muse­um in Wernigerode has been extend­ed by three weeks
. The spe­cial exhi­bi­tion will there­fore end on Sun­day, Octo­ber 4, 2026. The cur­rent exhi­bi­tion, titled “20 Years of the Harz Hik­ing Pin—A Suc­cess Sto­ry,” doc­u­ments the devel­op­ment of the Harz Hik­ing Pin from its begin­nings to the present day and, in addi­tion to the cus­tom­ary stamp box­es and hik­ing pass­ports, also high­lights the dark­er side of the sto­ry: van­dal­ism and destruc­tive behav­ior. The exhi­bi­tion also fea­tures achieve­ment badges, themed book­lets, sou­venirs, and maps, as well as a film about the hik­ing pin.
