Further important information

  • Due to the con­struc­tion work at Wernigerode Cas­tle, the stamp box was moved in front of the low­er cas­tle gate. 
  • The spe­cial stamps for the monastery hik­ing trail at Michael­stein Monastery can be found on the wall between the wash house and the music barn.
  • The stamp point 163 Bre­merk­lippe was moved 2.7 kilo­me­ters away to the Kaiserweg.
  • At the stamp­ing point 43 Hohe Tür — water­shed Weser-Elbe the hik­ing trail around the Steina­tal dam is closed! Hik­ers should choose the path oppo­site the Steina­tal dam as an alter­na­tive route
  • The stamp­ing sta­tion HWN 99 Hörninger Sat­telköpfe was per­ma­nent­ly moved to the Harz­er Holz­dampflok above Neustadt/Harz due to con­stant dam­age to property.
  • The stamp point HWN 141 Las­felder Tränke has been per­ma­nent­ly relo­cat­ed to the Ober­er Hah­nebalz­er Teich on the Harz­er Baudensteig.
  • Access to the HWN 91 Ram­mels­berg World Her­itage Site dai­ly from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
  • The Aholzwarte in Quedlin­burg will no longer be includ­ed in the upcom­ing spe­cial issue titled “Around Bad Sud­erode, Gern­rode, and the World Her­itage City of Quedlinburg.”
  • The “But­terekuppe” anniver­sary stamp has been moved and is now locat­ed in a shel­ter on the Kaiser-Otto-Höhen­weg trail in the direc­tion of Wallhausen
  • Check­point 146—Großes Wehr —can­not be reached from the Stieglitzecke park­ing lot due to the dan­ger of dead­wood break­ing off. A good start­ing point is the Sper­ber­haier Dammhaus across the Dammgraben.
