Station 1: 16.04.–15.06.2026 Brockenbande climate educational trail “Water”, Osterode

The traveling stamp box reached its first station of the 2026/27 season on 16.04.26.

Han­na and Luke from the Brock­en­bande explain how a dam can sup­ply peo­ple with drink­ing water and pro­tect them from flood­ing on the new “Water” cli­mate trail.

This leads you on a cir­cu­lar hik­ing trail around the basin of the pre-dam past five excit­ing infor­ma­tion points. The start­ing point for the nature trail is the Söse­talsperre park­ing lot at the dam, which is locat­ed in the direc­tion of the Riefens­beek-Kam­schlack­en dis­trict of Osterode.
