On the way to the Brocken, attached to a display board, you will find the “Gelber Brink” stamp box (888 m above sea level). To the right of it, the hidden Ilse plunges down into the valley.
You can hear the rushing of the river and the riverbed is also recognizable, but the watercourse is hidden under huge granite rocks. The small resting place tempts you to take a short break.
The iron signpost shows various directions. The Brocken is only 4 km away. Near the stamping point, the primeval forest trail branches off from the Brockenstraße, which leads directly through the core zone of the national park for about 200 m.
