The Helenenruh refuge (600 m above sea level) is located near Schierke, high above the Elendstal valley.
From this cozy spot, you have a view of the 150 m deep gorge valley of the Kalten Bode and, on a clear day, you can also see the Brocken.
From the campsite in Schierke, a small path on the right leads past the “Brockenblick” hotel and then left up to the Helenenruh viewpoint, where the stamping point is located in the refuge.
