Stamp point 173 / Hirschbüchenkopf forest meadow

The Hirschbüchenkopf forest meadow is located between Güntersberge and Siptenfelde below the “Pension Waldoase” and above the Selketalstieg trail.

Until the ear­ly 1990s, there was a wind­ing tow­er on the site of the guest­house that served as a sup­ply shaft for the Straßberg mine. The clo­sure plate of the for­mer shaft can still be seen to this day. 

In the Harz Mountains 

The stamp­ing point is locat­ed at the edge of a for­est clear­ing above the Selketalstieg,

From Sipten­felde, fol­low the signs for “Wege deutsch­er Kaiser und Könige des Mit­te­lal­ters im Harz” (Paths of Ger­man Emper­ors and Kings of the Mid­dle Ages in the Harz Moun­tains) and pass the fence of the “Pen­sion Wal­doase” to reach the stamp­ing point.
