Stamping point 137 / Bärenbrucher Teich

The Bärenbrucher Teich is a reservoir near Buntenbock that belongs to the Oberharz Wasserregal and whose history can be traced back to the 17th century.

Nowadays, the Bärenbrucher pond is operated as an overflow pond, which means that the inflowing water flows into the Ziegenberger pond via the overflow.

We recommend visiting the Bärenbrucher pond as part of a family-friendly circular walk on the “WasserWanderWeg Buntenbocker Teiche” trail. The stamp box is located in the refuge at the dam.

The starting and finishing point of this entertaining circular trail is the large swamp pond on the outskirts of Buntenbock. Along the way are numerous ditches and hidden watercourses, the Ziegenberger, Bärenbrucher, Pixhaier and Schwarzenbacher ponds as well as the Pixhaier Mühle inn.
