Large rock formation in the forest overgrown with moss

Stamp point 5 / Frog rock

The Frog Rock (545 m above sea level) is a huge granite monolith and is located above the Ilse Valley on the Meineberg.

It owes its name to its unusual shape, because viewed from the right direction and with a little imagination, it looks like an oversized, sitting frog. The stamping point is located in the refuge about 50 meters away.

The Froschfelsen can be easily combined with a hike to the Taubenklippe HWN 4 and the Kruzifix HWN 3 from the hiking parking lots in the Ilsetal.
