The Scharfenstein viewpoint (462 m above sea level) is located above the Wernigerode district of Nöschenrode.
A small stone staircase leads to the summit, from where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Harz mountains all the way to the Brocken.
A very good starting point for a hike to the Scharfenstein is the Sporthotel Wernigerode. From the parking lot there, you can reach the viewpoint via the Senfmühlenweg.
