Stamp point 33 / Stapenberg

The Stapenberg (443 m above sea level) lies above the village of Benzingerode.

The rec­om­mend­ed start­ing point is the park­ing lot at the church in Ben­zingerode, where the sign­post­ed hik­ing trail begins, which leads very steeply from the edge of the vil­lage through the for­est to the sum­mit plateau. From there you have an excel­lent view over the Harz fore­land and to the Brocken. 

We rec­om­mend con­tin­u­ing the tour to Aust­bergturm HWN 83 and on to Heim­burg and Altenburg HWN 84.
