Stamp point 12 / Achtermannshöhe

The Achtermannshöhe (926 m above sea level) is located northwest of Braunlage and is the third-highest mountain in Lower Saxony and the fourth-highest mountain in the Harz Mountains.

From the summit, you have a beautiful view of the Harz mountains, especially the Brocken and the Wurmberg. On a clear day, you can even see the Thuringian Forest with the Inselberg.

Signposted hiking trails lead from the Königskrug inn and from Oderbrück to Achtermann. The shortest but also the steepest and rockiest is the “Milliardenweg”.
