The viewing pavilion on the Hoher Kleef (442 m above sea level) is located high above Rübeland.

The Hohe Kleef is a cliff made of Devonian reef limestone. The rock formation can be seen from afar thanks to the viewing pavilion erected on it.
From the parking lot at the Hermannshöhle cave, a narrow signposted path leads up the slope to the right in the direction of Susenburg, which leads past the Birkenfeld ruins and past the stamp box to the viewing pavilion.
