Stamping point 65 / Todtenrode Inn

The inn “Altes Forsthaus Todtenrode” (420 m above sea level) is surrounded by forest meadows above Altenbrak.

Duke Wilhelm built a hunting lodge with an outbuilding in 1831 and later extended it to include a forester’s residence. The hunting lodge was shingled with bark and covered with straw. It had to be demolished after 1945 due to dilapidation.

You can reach the forester’s lodge via the B 81 Altenbrak junction. Then take the country road to Altenbrak and turn onto a signposted forest road at the Hasenteich pond, which leads to the restaurant’s parking lot.

The stamp box is located on the grounds of the inn. From there, we recommend a hike on signposted paths to HWN 64 Böser Kleef.
