The Leistenklippe (901 m above sea level) is part of the Hohnekamm, an elongated mountain range between Schierke, Drei Annen Hohne and Wernigerode.
There are other rocky elevations on the Hohnekamm, such as the Landmannklippe, Höllenklippe, Grenzklippe and Bärenklippe. The Leistenklippe is accessible as a vantage point and can be climbed via an iron staircase. The view of the Brocken, Wurmberg and Wernigerode is unique.
Numerous signposted but also steep hiking trails lead over 360 meters in altitude from Schierke or Drei Annen Hohne to the Hohnekamm.
