Le pre\u00admier auber\u00adgiste \u00e9tait Karl Mast, de la famille qui devien\u00addra plus tard la dynas\u00adtie J\u00e4germeister.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>Apr\u00e8s un incen\u00addie, le Ber\u00adgho\u00adtel St\u00f6\u00adbe\u00adrhai a&nbsp;\u00e9t\u00e9 construit en 1889 avec une tour d\u2019ob\u00adser\u00adva\u00adtion pour deve\u00adnir l\u2019h\u00f4\u00adtel le plus \u00e9le\u00adv\u00e9 du Harz apr\u00e8s le Bro\u00adcken. La tour d\u2019ob\u00adser\u00adva\u00adtion, dont la plate-forme pou\u00advait accueillir 60 per\u00adsonnes, offrait une vue pano\u00adra\u00admique sur toutes les par\u00adties du Harz jus\u00adqu\u2019au Kyffh\u00e4u\u00adser et \u00e0&nbsp;la for\u00eat de Thu\u00adringe. En 1922, l\u2019h\u00f4\u00adte\u00adlier a&nbsp;intro\u00adduit la c\u00e9l\u00e9\u00adbra\u00adtion de la nuit de Wal\u00adpur\u00adgis sur le St\u00f6\u00adbe\u00adrhai, en s\u2019ins\u00adpi\u00adrant du Brocken.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>Apr\u00e8s la guerre, l\u2019h\u00f4\u00adtel a&nbsp;connu des dif\u00adfi\u00adcul\u00adt\u00e9s \u00e9co\u00adno\u00admiques, car les clients de Saxe, de Thu\u00adringe et de Ber\u00adlin, qui \u00e9taient nom\u00adbreux jus\u00adqu\u2019a\u00adlors, n\u2019\u00e9\u00adtaient plus au rendez-vous.<\/p>\n\n<p>En automne 1951, un entre\u00adpre\u00adneur de bus inter\u00adzone de Ber\u00adlin a&nbsp;ache\u00adt\u00e9 l\u2019h\u00f4\u00adtel, l\u2019a fait recons\u00adtruire et a&nbsp;cr\u00e9\u00e9 sur le ter\u00adrain un petit parc ani\u00adma\u00adlier avec des ani\u00admaux locaux. L\u2019ac\u00adqu\u00e9\u00adreur a&nbsp;mis en place un ser\u00advice r\u00e9gu\u00adlier de navettes en bus de Ber\u00adlin \u00e0&nbsp;St\u00f6\u00adbe\u00adrhai, avec h\u00e9ber\u00adge\u00adment et repas \u00e0&nbsp;l\u2019h\u00f4\u00adtel de mon\u00adtagne. Le pro\u00adpri\u00e9\u00adtaire de l\u2019h\u00f4\u00adtel a&nbsp;obte\u00adnu que la S\u00fcd\u00adharz-Eisen\u00adbahn-Gesell\u00adschaft (SHE), lors de la construc\u00adtion du che\u00admin de fer \u00e0&nbsp;voie \u00e9troite Wal\u00adken\u00adried-Braun\u00adla\u00adge\/\u00adTanne en 1899, am\u00e9\u00adnage un arr\u00eat au milieu de la for\u00eat, la gare de St\u00f6\u00adbe\u00adrhai, afin de faci\u00adli\u00adter le tra\u00adfic d\u2019ex\u00adcur\u00adsion vers l\u2019h\u00f4\u00adtel. Sur son insis\u00adtance, la soci\u00e9\u00adt\u00e9 de che\u00admin de fer y&nbsp;a \u00e9ga\u00adle\u00adment ouvert un petit b\u00e2ti\u00adment de gare pour les excur\u00adsion\u00adnistes en octobre 1900. Bien qu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9\u00adpoque, la gare de la val\u00adl\u00e9e de Wein\u00adglas ne se trou\u00advait qu\u2019\u00e0 envi\u00adron 1,3&nbsp;km de l\u2019h\u00f4\u00adtel, il y&nbsp;avait encore envi\u00adron 260 m\u00e8tres de d\u00e9ni\u00adve\u00adl\u00e9 entre la gare et l\u2019h\u00f4tel.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>Apr\u00e8s avoir chan\u00adg\u00e9 plu\u00adsieurs fois de pro\u00adpri\u00e9\u00adtaire, l\u2019h\u00f4\u00adtel a&nbsp;ces\u00ads\u00e9 d\u2019\u00eatre exploi\u00adt\u00e9 en 1975 et a&nbsp;\u00e9t\u00e9 vic\u00adtime d\u2019un grand incen\u00addie en&nbsp;1980.<\/p>\n\n<p>En 1967, l\u2019ar\u00adm\u00e9e alle\u00admande a&nbsp;construit une tour de recon\u00adnais\u00adsance de 75 m\u00e8tres de haut sur le St\u00f6\u00adbe\u00adrhai, qui conte\u00adnait, sur seize \u00e9tages et 750&nbsp;m\u00b2, des sup\u00adports d\u2019an\u00adtennes, des postes de d\u00e9tec\u00adtion, des locaux d\u2019ex\u00adploi\u00adta\u00adtion, mais aus\u00adsi des bureaux, des loge\u00adments et un&nbsp;salon.<\/p>\n\n<p>Pen\u00addant la guerre froide, la sta\u00adtion d\u2019\u00e9\u00adcoute radio ser\u00advait \u00e0&nbsp;\u00e9cou\u00adter les com\u00admu\u00adni\u00adca\u00adtions mili\u00adtaires en RDA. Ses ins\u00adtal\u00adla\u00adtions repr\u00e9\u00adsentent l\u2019\u00e9\u00adqui\u00advalent de la sta\u00adtion g\u00e9r\u00e9e par le minis\u00adt\u00e8re de la s\u00e9cu\u00adri\u00adt\u00e9 de l\u2019\u00c9\u00adtat de la RDA et de l\u2019U\u00adnion sovi\u00e9\u00adtique sur le Brocken.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>Ce n\u2019est qu\u2019en 2005, quinze ans apr\u00e8s la r\u00e9uni\u00adfi\u00adca\u00adtion de l\u2019Al\u00adle\u00admagne, que la tour a&nbsp;\u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9truite par une explo\u00adsion contr\u00f4\u00adl\u00e9e. Cette d\u00e9ci\u00adsion a&nbsp;\u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9\u00adc\u00e9\u00add\u00e9e d\u2019une longue dis\u00adpute sur le co\u00fbt de l\u2019\u00e9\u00adli\u00admi\u00adna\u00adtion du poste d\u2019\u00e9coute.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>Le St\u00f6\u00adbe\u00adrhai est acces\u00adsible depuis Wie\u00adda, Bad Lau\u00adter\u00adberg, Bad Sach\u00adsa et le bar\u00adrage d\u2019O\u00adder\u00adtals\u00adperre par des sen\u00adtiers de ran\u00addon\u00adn\u00e9e bali\u00ads\u00e9s.
