The karst land\u00adscape in front of the south\u00adern Harz is a&nbsp;unique feature.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>Zech\u00adstein deposits with high\u00adly water-sol\u00adu\u00adble gyp\u00adsum, anhy\u00addrites and salts are exposed here. Kars\u00adti\u00adfi\u00adca\u00adtion has cre\u00adat\u00aded and con\u00adtin\u00adues to cre\u00adate a&nbsp;wide vari\u00adety of ter\u00adrain forms, e.g. sink\u00adholes, sink\u00adholes, stream gul\u00adlies and caves. This bizarre land\u00adscape, with its mosa\u00adic-like, small-scale struc\u00adtures, pro\u00advides valu\u00adable habi\u00adtats for a&nbsp;rich vari\u00adety of flo\u00adra and fau\u00adna and is unique in Europe.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/www.biosphaerenreservat-karstlandschaft-suedharz.de\/\">Bios\u00adphere reserve<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<p>The stamp\u00ading point can be reached from Hain\u00adrode via the hik\u00ading trail to the rur\u00adal com\u00admu\u00adni\u00adty or via the karst hik\u00ading trail.
