The new moun\u00adtain prop\u00ader\u00adty ben\u00ade\u00adfit\u00aded the many poor sick peo\u00adple, some of whom were also afflict\u00aded with lep\u00adrosy. Very soon the moun\u00adtain name, pre\u00advi\u00adous\u00adly ded\u00adi\u00adcat\u00aded to St. Peter, changed in the ver\u00adnac\u00adu\u00adlar to \u201cder arme Lude holt\u201d and from 1671 onwards con\u00adtin\u00adu\u00adous\u00adly to \u201cArmeleuteberg\u201d.  <\/p>\n\n<p>After the con\u00adstruc\u00adtion of the foun\u00adtain in 1905 on F\u00f6rster\u00adplatz, where the Forsthaus has stood since 1928, the Sauer\u00adbrun\u00adnen man\u00adu\u00adfac\u00adtur\u00ader Karl Ermisch had a&nbsp;house built, which was opened on May 20, 1906 as the \u201cBergho\u00adtel Armeleuteberg\u201d with a&nbsp;restau\u00adrant and six guest&nbsp;rooms.<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/www.armeleuteberg.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Armeleuteberg \u201d<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<p>The moun\u00adtain inn has been fam\u00adi\u00adly-owned since 1990 and offers typ\u00adi\u00adcal Harz food and drink in a&nbsp;sophis\u00adti\u00adcat\u00aded atmos\u00adphere. The \u201cWernigerode Fairy\u00adtale Trail\u201d was cre\u00adat\u00aded on the ini\u00adtia\u00adtive of the innkeep\u00ader of the Armeleuteberg, Chris&nbsp;Krebs.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>At eight sta\u00adtions, boards with rid\u00addle ques\u00adtions refer to well-known leg\u00adends and fairy tales. Fol\u00adlow\u00ading in the foot\u00adsteps of Rapun\u00adzel, Hansel and Gre\u00adtel and oth\u00aders, chil\u00addren can col\u00adlect impor\u00adtant infor\u00adma\u00adtion about nature and the ani\u00admal world in the Wernigerode For\u00adest, each of which con\u00adtributes to solv\u00ading a&nbsp;riddle.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>The fairy\u00adtale trail leads over hill and dale, start\u00ading from the Has\u00adser\u00f6der vaca\u00adtion park, roman\u00adti\u00adcal\u00adly through the closed for\u00adest, along the course of the \u201cNes\u00adsel\u201d stream, up to the typ\u00adi\u00adcal Harz \u201cHosen\u00adbein\u00adwiese\u201d mead\u00adow.
