It used to mark the bor\u00adder with the GDR along its entire course and today it marks the bor\u00adder with Saxony-Anhalt.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>In the ear\u00adly post-war years, this route was also known as the Schnap\u00adsweg. Schierk\u00ader Feuer\u00adstein was smug\u00adgled to Braun\u00adlage and in return her\u00adrings were smug\u00adgled to Schierke. After reuni\u00adfi\u00adca\u00adtion and the demo\u00adli\u00adtion of the watch\u00adtow\u00ader stand\u00ading here, this rest area for hik\u00aders was cre\u00adat\u00aded in 1995 on the ini\u00adtia\u00adtive of the Harzklub.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>Between 2012 and 2013, the entire ari\u00adal at Kaf\u00adfee\u00adhorst was redesigned. A&nbsp;four-seater chair\u00adlift was built for win\u00adter sports from Kaf\u00adfee\u00adhorst to the Wurm\u00adberg sum\u00admit with a&nbsp;length of 960&nbsp;m, a&nbsp;height dif\u00adfer\u00adence of 250&nbsp;m&nbsp;and a&nbsp;trans\u00adport capac\u00adi\u00adty of 1,800 peo\u00adple per hour. In addi\u00adtion, new ski slopes and a&nbsp;large park\u00ading lot for 600 vehi\u00adcles were&nbsp;built.<\/p>\n\n<p>You can reach the stamp\u00ading point from the \u201cKaf\u00adfee\u00adhorst\u201d park\u00ading lot via the sign\u00adpost\u00aded hik\u00ading trail.
