(This name refers to a&nbsp;char\u00adcoal site where fir wood was charred into char\u00adcoal). Con\u00adstruc\u00adtion of the Plessen\u00adburg hunt\u00ading lodge began on Octo\u00adber 27, 1775 and was com\u00adplet\u00aded in time for the hunt\u00ading sea\u00adson in Octo\u00adber&nbsp;1776.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>Ple\u00df is a&nbsp;town in Upper Sile\u00adsia which came into the pos\u00adses\u00adsion of the Princes of Anhalt-K\u00f6then short\u00adly before this date. Prince Friedrich Erd\u00admann zu Anhalt-K\u00f6then-Ple\u00df mar\u00adried the Coun\u00adt\u2019s daugh\u00adter Louise Fer\u00addi\u00adnande on June 13, 1766. The name Plessen\u00adburg refers to this son-in-law.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>In 1880, the kitchen and staff house was built next to the hunt\u00ading lodge in the local half-tim\u00adbered style. Plessen\u00adburg Cas\u00adtle remained in the pos\u00adses\u00adsion of Prince Chris\u00adt\u00adian Ernst zu Stol\u00adberg \u2014 Wernigerode until 1945. In 1945, the prince sold two thirds of his North Harz for\u00adest to the Ilsen\u00adburg forestry admin\u00adis\u00adtra\u00adtion. From 1967 to 1973, the hunt\u00ading lodge was used as a&nbsp;recre\u00adation\u00adal facility.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>On June 25, 1973, Bern\u00adhard and Ruth Krebs opened a&nbsp;restau\u00adrant in the for\u00admer kitchen and staff house.
