The first is the sur\u00adface mine, which depicts mod\u00adern min\u00ading from the post-war peri\u00adod up to 1992.<br>The sec\u00adond is the Glase\u00adbach under\u00adground mine, which illus\u00adtrates his\u00adtor\u00adi\u00adcal min\u00ading from the 18th century.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Glase\u00adbach\u00adschacht was built on the Stra\u00dfberg \u2014 Neu\u00addor\u00adfer Gangzug. This starts about 3.5&nbsp;km west of Stra\u00dfberg and extends over a&nbsp;dis\u00adtance of 15&nbsp;km to K\u00f6nigerode. The aver\u00adage dip to the north is 45 \u2014 60 degrees. The main min\u00ader\u00adal\u00adiza\u00adtion con\u00adsists of flu\u00ado\u00adrite \u2014 quartz \u2014 calcite.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The vis\u00adi\u00adtor tour begins in the above-ground wheel room with the recon\u00adstruct\u00aded arti\u00adfi\u00adcial wheel (diam\u00ade\u00adter 9.5&nbsp;meters), 21&nbsp;meters below the head\u00adframe and leads over the tun\u00adnel floor. The first and sec\u00adond lev\u00adels can be accessed via a&nbsp;stair\u00adcase built into the main shaft. Of par\u00adtic\u00adu\u00adlar impor\u00adtance are the still exist\u00ading orig\u00adi\u00adnal parts of the \u201cStra\u00dfberg\u00ader Schwingkun\u00adst\u201d (water lift\u00ading tech\u00adnol\u00ado\u00adgy), the oak pan\u00adelling of the gal\u00adleries, the evi\u00addence of old min\u00ading tech\u00adnol\u00ado\u00adgy, artis\u00adtic dry stone walls and the rich and colour\u00adful min\u00ader\u00adal\u00adiza\u00adtion of the mine. The tour lasts approx. 80&nbsp;min\u00adutes and cov\u00aders a&nbsp;depth of 40&nbsp;meters.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The stamp site is locat\u00aded at the old Glase\u00adbach gallery, not far from the his\u00adtoric lime kiln. This kiln was built right next to a&nbsp;lime\u00adstone quar\u00adry. The lime\u00adstone was placed in the kiln in the form of a&nbsp;vault that com\u00adplete\u00adly filled the kiln. The kiln was often cov\u00adered with clay at the end. A&nbsp;wood fire was set from below, which was main\u00adtained until all the lime\u00adstone had been burnt through. The lime burnt here was used for smelt\u00ading the iron ore extract\u00aded from the mines, for the farm\u00aders\u2019 own needs and for domes\u00adtic use. Dur\u00ading the restora\u00adtion work, a&nbsp;brick lin\u00ading was also found at the mouth of a&nbsp;water solu\u00adtion tun\u00adnel in the region. The lime kiln ceased to oper\u00adate around 100&nbsp;years&nbsp;ago.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/grubeglasebach.afgharz.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Glase\u00adbach show&nbsp;mine<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The show mine is very well sign\u00adpost\u00aded in Stra\u00dfberg.
