Archae\u00ado\u00adlog\u00adi\u00adcal find\u00adings even sug\u00adgest three thou\u00adsand years of&nbsp;use.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>The old\u00adest sur\u00adface build\u00ading in Ger\u00adman min\u00ading can be found in the cul\u00adtur\u00adal land\u00adscape near the for\u00admer mine site: the Mal\u00adter\u00admeis\u00adter\u00adturm, which was prob\u00ada\u00adbly built in the 14th cen\u00adtu\u00adry. The Mal\u00adter\u00admeis\u00adter\u00adturm was first men\u00adtioned in a&nbsp;doc\u00adu\u00adment in 1548. The term Mal\u00adter refers to a&nbsp;wood\u00aden mea\u00adsure that cor\u00adre\u00adsponds to around two cubic meters. Every year, around 6000 mal\u00adters were used to extract ore in the Ram\u00admels\u00adberg, i.e. over one cubic meter of wood was need\u00aded for one ton of&nbsp;ore.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>The Ram\u00admels\u00adberg World Her\u00aditage Site offers even more world records:<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rammelsberg.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ram\u00admels\u00adberg<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<p>The stamp\u00ading sta\u00adtion is locat\u00aded inside the main entrance.
