Per\u00adhaps this is where the moun\u00adtain got its name, but peo\u00adple in Ell\u00adrich and Zorge tell a&nbsp;dif\u00adfer\u00adent&nbsp;story:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>\u201cA few hun\u00addred years ago, a&nbsp;noto\u00adri\u00adous poach\u00ader lived in Ell\u00adrich. For a&nbsp;long time, the foresters tried in vain to catch him at his crim\u00adi\u00adnal trade. One day, a&nbsp;young hunter was trans\u00adferred to Ell\u00adrich and decid\u00aded not to rest until he had put the poach\u00ader out of action. He sur\u00adprised the poach\u00ader in the for\u00adest just as he was busy gut\u00adting a&nbsp;roe\u00adbuck. The poach\u00ader, who refused to sur\u00adren\u00adder, shot the hunter down. The earth drank the inno\u00adcent blood spilled and the whole moun\u00adtain blushed for this sac\u00adri\u00adlege for all eternity.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>The best start\u00ading point for a&nbsp;beau\u00adti\u00adful cir\u00adcu\u00adlar hike is the park\u00ading lot at the Ell\u00adrich city for\u00adest. From there, you first walk along the sign\u00adpost\u00aded path to the \u201cRot\u00ader Schuss\u201d and on to the <g id=\"gid_0\">Wen\u00addele\u00adiche HWN 165<\/g>, the <g id=\"gid_1\">Stief\u00admut\u00adter HWN 164<\/g> and final\u00adly to the spe\u00adcial stamp\u00ading point \u201cZweil\u00e4n\u00addere\u00adiche\u201d.
