The site man\u00adag\u00ader for the redesign of the route at the time was the chief engi\u00adneer Otto Ebert, him\u00adself a&nbsp;friend of the Harz Moun\u00adtains and hikers.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>After 1990, the Harzk\u00adlub and the town of Blanken\u00adburg (Harz) tried to gen\u00ader\u00adate fund\u00ading for the con\u00adstruc\u00adtion of a&nbsp;bridge over the R\u00fcbe\u00adland\u00adbahn to make the Her\u00adzogsweg ful\u00adly acces\u00adsi\u00adble again. Togeth\u00ader with the town of Blanken\u00adburg (Harz), chief engi\u00adneer Otto Ebert exam\u00adined the fund\u00ading options and, for his 70th birth\u00adday, asked his invit\u00aded guests for a&nbsp;dona\u00adtion for the bridge on the Her\u00adzogsweg instead of gifts.
