In 1199, Hein\u00adrich von Evers\u00adberch appears as a&nbsp;mar\u00adshal of the Land\u00adgrave of Thuringia. In 1216, the land\u00adgrave issues a&nbsp;doc\u00adu\u00adment on the Ebersburg.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>The ground plan of the main cas\u00adtle is a&nbsp;dis\u00adplaced rec\u00adtan\u00adgle, approx. 45 x&nbsp;60&nbsp;m&nbsp;in size. The mighty, round keep with a&nbsp;diam\u00ade\u00adter of 12.7&nbsp;m&nbsp;and a&nbsp;wall thick\u00adness of 4.5&nbsp;m&nbsp;is locat\u00aded in the inner court\u00adyard. The cas\u00adtle is divid\u00aded into the out\u00ader and low\u00ader cas\u00adtle, as well as the upper cas\u00adtle with palas and&nbsp;keep.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>After 1587, the cas\u00adtle was aban\u00addoned and fell into dis\u00adre\u00adpair.
