They were cre\u00adat\u00aded by Harz min\u00aders in ear\u00adli\u00ader cen\u00adturies in order to always have suf\u00adfi\u00adcient water avail\u00adable in sum\u00admer and win\u00adter to oper\u00adate the numer\u00adous water wheels. The water was fed to its place of use through arti\u00adfi\u00adcial ditch systems.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>There are a&nbsp;total of four \u201cGrum\u00adbach Ponds\u201d between the old moun\u00adtain towns of Wilde\u00admann and Hah\u00adnen\u00adklee. The Low\u00ader and Upper Grum\u00adbach Ponds were built before 1680. The Mid\u00addle Pond was built after 1680. The fourth New Grum\u00adbach Pond was added after&nbsp;1714.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>The Grum\u00adbach pond was vot\u00aded the most beau\u00adti\u00adful stamp site in 2012 by our hik\u00ading friends.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>The park\u00ading lot at Kut\u00adtel\u00adbach\u00ader Teich on the road from Lau\u00adt\u00aden\u00adthal to Bock\u00adswiese is a&nbsp;good start\u00ading point to get from the oppo\u00adsite side of the road via the Dreck\u00adtal to the stamp\u00ading sta\u00adtion in the refuge of the Harzk\u00adlub branch Wildemann.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The low\u00ader Grum\u00adbach pond is locat\u00aded between Hah\u00adnen\u00adklee-Bock\u00adswiese and Wilde\u00admann in the Gro\u00dfer Dreck\u00adstal.
