This gift was linked to the con\u00addi\u00adtion that the area be named \u201cDegen\u00ader\u00adshausen\u201d. <\/p>\n\n<p>In 1835, Johann Chris\u00adt\u00adian Degen\u00ader had the manor house and the asso\u00adci\u00adat\u00aded farm build\u00adings built and the park laid out. After his death, a&nbsp;strik\u00ading cast-iron obelisk was erect\u00aded in his hon\u00ador, but had to be demol\u00adished in 1968 due to severe dam\u00adage. In 1993, it was rebuilt in its old posi\u00adtion as part of the exten\u00adsive ren\u00ado\u00adva\u00adtion of the park. The bur\u00adial place of the von Boden\u00adhausen-Degen\u00ader fam\u00adi\u00adly has been locat\u00aded on a&nbsp;hill near the pond since&nbsp;1918.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>The park has under\u00adgone many changes over the years and has exist\u00aded in its cur\u00adrent form since 1924. Today, the park cov\u00aders an area of twelve hectares and is home to more than 175 species and gen\u00adera of native and non-native trees and shrubs. The spa\u00adcious grounds with well-tend\u00aded indi\u00advid\u00adual trees, groups of trees and flow\u00ader\u00ading mead\u00adows (with thou\u00adsands of cro\u00adcus\u00ades and daf\u00adfodils in spring) offer vis\u00adi\u00adtors plen\u00adty of space for rest and relaxation.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>The park is crossed by 2.8&nbsp;km of paths, which are of course also suit\u00adable for wheel\u00adchair users. Dur\u00ading the tour of the park, you can get an overview of select\u00aded trees and shrubs with the help of a \u201cpark guide\u201d (fly\u00ader).
