The vil\u00adlage lies on a&nbsp;high plateau around 440&nbsp;m&nbsp;above sea lev\u00adel in the head\u00adwa\u00adters of the Schmaler Wip\u00adper. The \u201cStahlquelle\u201d was devel\u00adoped for tourism in 1931 and con\u00adtributed to Neu\u00addor\u00adf\u2019s good rep\u00adu\u00adta\u00adtion as a&nbsp;resort.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>The Neu\u00addorf Min\u00ading Trail, which presents over 600&nbsp;years of min\u00ading his\u00adto\u00adry in the Neu\u00addorf min\u00ading dis\u00adtrict over a&nbsp;dis\u00adtance of around 15&nbsp;km, takes you over the so-called Men\u00adschen\u00adtrappe to the steel spring. The Dan\u00adkerode but\u00adter women are said to have walked along this steep hol\u00adlow path on their way back from Quedlin\u00adburg market.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>The min\u00ading nature trail con\u00adtin\u00adues via the Teufel\u00adste\u00adich pond, the F\u00fcrst-Vik\u00adtor hut, the Birn\u00adbaum pond, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.harzer-wandernadel.de\/en\/stamping-points\/overview-map\/stamping-point-194-hellergrund\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"878\">Hel\u00adler\u00adgrund water art facil\u00adi\u00adty HWN 194<\/a>, to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.harzer-wandernadel.de\/en\/stamping-points\/overview-map\/stamp-point-175-glasebach-show-mine\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"1236\">Glase\u00adbach show mine HWN 175<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n<p>If you only want to hike to the Stahlquelle, you can start the tour from the small park\u00ading lot on the road from Neu\u00addorf to Dankerode.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This high\u00adly fer\u00adrug\u00adi\u00adnous spring was dis\u00adcov\u00adered in 1926 by senior min\u00ader W.
